Non-medical Counseling

Confidential non-medical counseling addresses issues such as improving relationships at home and work, stress management, adjustment difficulties, parenting, and grief or loss. It does not address active suicidal or homicidal thoughts, sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, alcohol and substance abuse, or serious mental health conditions.

Domestic Violence

Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233)

Alcohol And/Or Substance Abuse

The IA-Veterans Village National Helpline is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders. National Helpline – 1-800-662-HELP (4357)

Child Abuse

Call the Childhelp Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453)

Family Life Counseling

The IA-Veterans Village Family Life Counseling Program supports veterans, their families, and survivors with non-medical counseling nationwide.

Sexual Assault

Call the Safe Helpline at 877-995-5247, or start an online chat. In case of immediate danger, call 911.

Active Suicidal Thoughts

If you’re in crisis or concerned about one, there are caring, qualified VA responders standing by to help with veteran suicide prevention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 1-800-273-8255 and press (1)

The IA-Veterans Village specialty consultation is designed to help you identify goals, learn about benefits available to you, and gather a range of resources to meet your needs. From veteran substance abuse programs and PTSD veteran counseling to transitional living, IAINC is here to help you. Sessions are tailored to meet your unique needs and are available by phone or video.
